LAWTON, OKLA.--  The Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry selected dancers for the 2008-09 season on Saturday at the Cameron University Fitness Center.

Fourteen young ladies came to show their moves.  The dancers started the day with a stretches.  After a short warm-up, Shelby McClure, dance team choreographer, showed the girls sideline routines and across the floor combinations.  The audition routine was taught to the girls after a short lunch provided by Quizno’s Subs. 

After the dancer’s auditioned in pairs and endured a short interview process, McClure handpicked eleven girls for the 2008-09 Season. 

The new Cavs Dance Team members are: Christi C., Morgan C., Michelle S., Natasha M., Jennifer S., Alicia H., Kristie I., Lawanna M., Danica J., Leilaninicole W., and Jada J.

“I am very excited about the dancers who have made the 08-09 Cavs Dance Team,” said McClure.  “We really have a lot of great talent and I cannot wait to bring our energy to the games next season.”

The Cavs Dance Team will make their first appearance this Saturday at the Armed Forces Day Parade and Celebration.
